Visiting a Museum

[Sunita and prity  on the way back hone after visiting the national Museum in Kathmandu]

Sunita:              I think the museum is located in the far distance from the central part of kathmandu, isn't it?

Prity:                I also think so that's in the wastes end of kathmandu , down the famous
swoyambhunath stupa. it takes a long time to reach there if somebody is at Ratna park.

Sunita:              anyway, this museum is considered the most important in Nepal.

Prity:                I was really amazed at the large number of weapons, art and
Antiquities of historic and cultural importance.

Sunita:              Yes, all're much fascinating. There's wonderful collection of trophies and weapons. There're firearms locally made and captured from the various wars, leather canons and relics of natural calamities like great earthquake of 1934.

Prity:                I liked the medieval and modem works in wood metal/bronze, stonework's and the paintings.

Sunita:              Do you know – it was constructed in early 19th century by General
bhemsen thapa and its initial name was 'Chhauni Silkhana', literally means "the stone house of arms and ammunition."

Priry:                After all, the museum is good for observation
