Japan, At least four people were killed when a bus, carrying funeral attendants, met with an accident at Laxmipur of Ghailaduwa in Jhapa district on Sunday. The funeral attendees were returning after cremating a body at the bank of Kankai River in the district.

According to Area Police Office Birtamod, over two dozen people were injured in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Dharam Chaudhary and Baduwa Rajbanshi, of Sanischare-9, Bir Rajbanshi, of Sanischare-6, and Nirmala Rajbanshi, of Sanischare-7, police confirmed.

The injured have been undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Birtamod and Surunga of the district.
